Anybody know how I can change my number and keep the number private? Like, from even my mom? Or should I just shut the damned thing in a drawer and forget it exists?

I don't need a phone.

The techies here probably know a way to help you.

Does someone need to be beat up?

Having a safe place is super important!

Doug's mutant power is techno-sourcery probably (maybe?) and possibly he or Hank could help you. Just go to the lab in the basement and make puppy eyes at someone. Works for me everytime.

Some days I wish my power was techno-sorcery. I've got about enough magic to light a candle if I practiced for the next decade, according to Amanda's old teacher.

But I can probably manage something for you, Tabs. I've been around these phones longer than I care to admit, because then I'd have to admit that I'm an Old or something. Privacy lockdown is absolutely a thing.

The phone is more than just a phone - it's a panic button and tracker as well, and with this place's habit of attracting trouble, yes, you need your phone. Talk to the science types about ways to make it more private, and talk to the professor about issues with your mum. But don't "lose" the phone. It's that or a microchip implant. :P

Why do you not simply block the number? Also, there is very probably a way to turn off the receiving part of the phone with the incoming calls and to simply leave the GPS tracker on. Although, I think perhaps it would not be so wise to do this because you have friends and things who might like to be in touch with you, yes?
